'Children's Playhouse' Web Series

We started back up with the Web Series that Adam created last year!  In fact, it's been nearly a year since our first day of filming and episode one is ready for your viewing pleasure but we're not putting it out until we have the other three that we shot this weekend edited and finished!  So it's a really exciting and testing of our patience time!

When you're trying to get everyone in the selfie
and someone takes a picture of your attempt ;)
We spent three days getting everything done for the next three episodes, shooting at Adam's apartment, a secret bar location in Culver City, and then in the rec room at my apartment complex.  Each day was filled with lots of Improv as that fits the storyline and how Adam wanted the series to go.  Since I'm the new girl to town, I'm still getting to know everyone and what Sunnyside has to offer.  Of course, I end up causing some problems and throw a wrench into the mix but I won't give any more than that away!

Everyone really came together, with our friends jumping in to help with lighting, sound, props, producing, craft services, and I think it just shows our dedication to something we love!  Thanks to Lauren for bringing donuts on Friday because I ended up eating two and a half...the most donuts I've had in nearly a year since the last time I had one was on National Donut Day.  Adam pulled out some emotion from me on Saturday, as the scene was one of the few serious moments, and we had other 'game-changing' moments to film that day, too!
Day 1 of filming 'Children's Playhouse!'
Thanks to everyone for being the professional awesome people they are and I can't wait to see the final product!  I know Adam has already gone through footage and is loving what he's been seeing.  I'll be sharing it as soon as we put it out there and hopefully it'll even hit the festival circuit :)

My 'Graey Area' Episode!

I was a part of 'The Graey Area' Web Series which had it's premiere at the end of January!  My episode aired nearly a month later in February and I realized I totally forgot to share it here :)  They are looking to come back for Season 2 and perhaps Stacy will get to join the cast again for some more fun and excitement!

We've all been there before...you think you're dating someone, but they're actually dating someone else, and most people once they realize they are the 'other' woman, end said relationship.  Turns out, I was the other woman in this Web Series, and I had a big secret to share.  Hopefully, Grace & Stacy can become friends, and take on the world together!
You can check out the episode right here (I come in at about the six minute mark) and the rest of the episodes for 'The Graey Area' as well.  Enjoy and thanks for watching!

'Graey Area' Web Series

This past Tuesday I worked on the Web Series 'Graey Area' up in North Hollywood.  Kelsey, who has come into Karaoke at Gabe's a few times asked if I wanted to be a part of it, sent me the script, and after reading it, I was in!  Not only is she starring in it, she's also producing it :)

'Graey Area' reminds me of "Friends" and definitely has that sitcom feel.  Even though my scenes were more dramatic, there was a comedic undertone to them, and it was still kept light-hearted.  That is, until the big reveal at the end!  Grace (played by Kelsey) and I (Stacy) are dating the same guy; I get to play the girl that everyone hates but hopefully understands me by the end of the episode.  Definitely a new character for me.
Our Director, Bobby, Kelsey, myself, Alex, Michelle, and Eduardo our DP (Max was our Boom Operator and took the group photo)!  A little behind the scenes action and a still during one of our final scenes.
The Web Series is still filming and once it goes through the editing process should premiere at the end of the Summer!  I can't wait to see it and share it with everyone!

'Jules & Jess' Web Series

It's been nearly two years since I filmed an episode of this wonderful little web series called 'Jules & Jess.'  I started out helping with make-up and anything else they needed, and then I auditioned for a role, but unfortunately didn't get cast.  I got called a couple days later to be an extra which I gladly accepted and looked forward to my day on set.  Lucky for me, one of the actresses didn't confirm for the shoot the following day and I ended up getting her role and being Taft Hartley'd into the Union.  Patience and persistence pays off!  No role is to small to go in and do something you love, and JJ gave me an opportunity to be a part of her web series and I got my SAG card in addition to a super fun experience!  I couldn't be more appreciative and thankful :)

You can see my Episode, which is Episode 6 "Jobless" Part 2 here:

The web series has been airing on their Wagglebutt Production Website in addition to YouTube and they also post updates, episodes, and other info on their Facebook page which you can find here: Jules & Jess on Facebook

Hope you enjoy!!

*I'm going to try to get a direct link so I can post the video in this blog for easier viewing :)*

Catch up time!

I can't believe 2013 is over half-way gone and we're nearing Fall!  I'm proud because I've got some great jobs that keep me very busy and I'm able to save up money to do all the fun things when I've got some free days.  I've been keeping my Resolutions for the New Year; I'm going out of town and traveling to new places, having spontaneous vacations, seeing tons of live music and bands, and trying new restaurants and recipes.  I'm also working towards getting Representation and had fantastic headshots taken by Hillary and am just choosing my favorites so we can get them sent out to Agents and Managers soon!
At Universal Studios for the Matchbox Twenty
and Goo Goo Dolls Concert!

Just last month in July I went to Punta Cana for a week-long vacation with Family.  I had never been to the Dominican Republic and while we all had a blast, it'll be a while before I go back to the Caribbean anytime soon.  I also saw Matchbox Twenty and The Goo Goo Dolls perform; two fun bands from the 90's!

I had my 30th Birthday in June and got to spend it with friends and family throughout the month (including our week in Punta Cana).  I've been working on new recipes and posting them on here more often and had the last photo shoot of my 20's with my friend, Kristina, the day before my Birthday.  June also started my Lector Duty at Church and I've been doing that for the past 3 months and just got our schedule for the next 3, so that's a fun and exciting way to enjoy Church!

In May, I had my first ever BIG SAG Audition since I had joined the Union which was exciting.  Even though I didn't book the Audition I did film a couple Match.com Parodies and got to put my Princess Leia costume to good use, once again.  I also got to see one of my favorite artists, Sara Bareilles, perform at The El Rey Theater and to make the month even more exciting, Emily and I made a spontaneous trip to Las Vegas for 2 nights and had an absolute blast.

I made my first move towards creating my Web Series this past weekend, pulling out Neil's brand new Canon Camera and just playing around with the video and photo functions.  We took a couple headshots and also filmed me doing an opening sequence for my show in a few different ways so that was a lot of fun and super creative!  I've got some ideas for the show already written down and now it's a matter of filming a couple episodes so I can put together a Trailer and get the show up on YouTube.
Testing the new camera...
I can't wait to get started on a show that's all my own :)  Set those goals and you can reach them!

Web Series Audition

A couple weeks ago I had an Audition in Hollywood for a popular Web Series that got picked up for Season 2 so they have plenty of episodes to cast and this session was for an episode to be filmed in the next couple of weeks.  It's been a huge hit since it came out in 2012 and has had over a million views on YouTube and Yahoo has been sponsoring it since it became widely popular!

Busy day...Work-out, Audition, Errands, and Dinner
at Wabi Sabi!  Happy Girl :)
I was going in for one of the Young Female roles that was described as stylish, sexy, and cute.  As I walked into the Casting Studio I saw one of my good friends, Andrea, was also auditioning so after signing in, and a quick catch up I grabbed a script and was prepared to do some Improv.  I had come up with some ideas before I had even gotten to the Audition for things I would want to do but saw that it wasn't going to be helpful because they were going in a different direction.  It made me a little nervous but I memorized the script, came up with some other ideas, and waited my turn.

The room seemed pretty warmed up and I was happy to see another friend of mine (and also an Actor in the series) who was helping to run the Audition and was actually 'reading' with me.  Since it was Improv, we had a script but we were told that we could deviate from it and make it our own.  After slating we got started with our date scene and had some fun with it.  We got a couple laughs and next up we did a complete Improv of dropping a date off at home and trying to get in some more 'romantic time' to not have the date end.  Either I've had some pretty respectful dates or it's been a really long time because I had a difficult time taking over the guy's role to try to continue the date, but used snuggling, a movie, a late night snack, etc, but my friend and reader was not budging, which is what he was supposed to do, taking on the girl's role.  I tried to keep it light and fun and hopefully they enjoyed seeing me do something interesting and different.

As I drove home I felt good about the Audition but realized I'd really like to do some more Improv and take some classes to improve on that skill.  I think that's a good note to take from it and be happy that I got some more practice at my Audition :)
