'Real Housewives of New York' at Afterbuzz TV

The new season of 'Real Housewives of New York' started just a couple weeks ago.  That meant our Afterbuzz TV Aftershow was back in swing!  Ashley and I have been Hosting the Aftershow since season six, we're in season nine right now, Megan is back on panel with us, and we've got a new Host, Thomas Orlina joining us now!

I actually really enjoy our panel; we all get along really well and we have varying opinions which is the point.  It gives the viewers someone they can agree with since we all have different ideas.  It's also nice to get a male's perspective!  We've got most of the Housewives from last season with Tinsley Mortimer, being the new addition.  It looks like the show will be as juicy as ever, even though sometimes I like it when there's no drama.
On our second episode we actually got John Hill, a man of many talents but also a writer for 'Watch What Happens Live.'  He's also got a show on Sirius on Andy Cohen's channel.  He was a great guest and gave us the scoop.  In fact, all of our shows have been really fun.  You can see our second episode with John Hill above!  Obviously the first week was an introduction to the season and last week we got into some really interesting talk about how to handle politics, people peeping on your Snapchat and Instagram, and the fact that I'm heading to New York tomorrow morning!
Thomas, Ashley and I Hosting our 'Real Housewives of New York' Aftershow!  We missed you, Megan!
Buckle up for an exciting season and be sure to join us every Wednesday at 7:15 pm LIVE on YouTube for our 'Real Housewives of New York' Aftershow at Afterbuzz TV!  We've got lots of fun planned for this season :)

Adam Fergus & Kathryn Newton at Afterbuzz TV for 'Supernatural'

I had the pleasure of Hosting our 'Supernatural' Aftershow a couple weeks ago with some amazing guests!  Adam Fergus has been playing Mick, joined me in the studio and Kathryn Newton, who plays Claire, and has been in to Afterbuzz before, also was on the Aftershow!

Slowly but surely, Mick, has been growing on the 'Supernatural' family.  Even though he came into this season working with Mr. Ketch, who's a part of the British Men of Letter's and appear to be enemies of our beloved Sam and Dean, the fans have been starting to wonder if he's really helping the boys.  I loved how in the episode, 'Ladies Drink Free' that we got to see a softer side of both Mick and Claire.  Clearly, Mick is struggling with helping the boys and sticking with the Men of Letter's.  We also got to see some great acting from Kathryn as she was turned into a Werewolf, and we're not sure if she's truly been healed or not, but so far, so good.
I really loved this episode but as the following week came around, we lost someone.  I won't say who, so I don't spoil it, in case you haven't seen in, but I was in mourning the following week!  You can see our episode linked above!
I loved having Kathryn Newton & Adam Fergus join me at Afterbuzz to talk all about 'Supernatural!'
It's always a pleasure to see Kathryn who has been working on 'Big Little Lies' and also has a couple other projects coming up.  I had done my research on Adam and found out he'd been in a production of 'A Midsummer Night's Dream,' and has really enjoyed being a part of 'Supernatural' and joining the family.  Of course it wasn't all shop talk, I got some acting advice, we saw some emotion, and heard all about the on-set fun they have as well!  Thanks to Kathryn and Adam for joining me at Afterbuzz and I look forward to having you two in again :)

'Locals Only' Table Read for Popcorn Talk!

Last Friday I went in to Popcorn Talk, a sister network of Afterbuzz TV for a Table Read of the un-produced script, 'Locals Only' by Daniel Hogan.  It's along the lines of 'The O.C.' and 'Friday Night Lights,' and deliciously juicy.  It hits some really honest moments growing up in high school and going through a death, dealing with hormones, popularity, race and more.  It was such an interesting story and episode and I was thrilled to be a part of it!

Everyone was given parts a couple days prior so I was reading as a teenage girl who was abusing prescription pills, a douchey bro-esque surfer, a hard-nosed detective and your typical popular rich girl.  I even had to free-style rap while I was reading as the surfer dude. A first for me and you can find that part around the 42 minute mark if you really want to see it.  We also did a little Q&A after and I found Friday's session really helpful for me in working on my own script as well.  I was already planning a table read but now I know I need someone to read as my character since I can't take notes when I'm reading my own lines!
You can see the episode presented by Popcorn Talk on YouTube right here!  Special thanks to Jeff for bringing me in, Daniel for writing an intriguing script, and the rest of the awesome cast for bringing the story to life.  I just want to know what happens next and I bet you will too if you check out the read :)

'Supernatural's' Ruth Connell & Kathryn Newton at Afterbuzz TV

We started off Season 12 of 'Supernatural' with a bang!  After ending last year with God & Amara (his sister) going off on a 'Sabbatical' together and Mary coming back from wherever she was, I think we all were excited to see what the writers were going to come up with this year.  Every episode has been a home run in my eyes, bigger, bolder, more emotion, and a whole new story with the Men of Letters London Chapter coming into play!  Katie and I are back Hosting our 'Supernatural' Aftershow at Afterbuzz TV and hoping that Alexis can jump in whenever she's not too slammed with work!

In fact, during our second episode we were able to get Ruth Connell and Kathryn Newton in to discuss Rowena's return, typical 'Supernatural' talk, and also chat about Ruth's Coven Couture clothing line for Charity.  Katie and I even got to wear tops from the line, super comfortable, and for a great cause!  Thankfully, we got to see Rowena, but only for an episode, before she jetted off for some alone time.  Meanwhile, Crowley and Castiel are working together and Mary has gone off for some solo thinking time as well.
Behind the scenes at Afterbuzz TV with Ruth & Kathryn
Ruth has been traveling all over for the Conventions and Kathryn has been busy working too and hoping for a 'Supernatural' return.  You can check out our episode here :)
As we make our way into the season, I'm really happy with how it's going so far even though we've heard nothing from God or Amara.  We're seeing a more sensitive side of Dean, Nina-Lopez Corrado directed last week's episode (so great to see her name up there again) and Lucifer has been banished to the depths of the ocean...for now.  This week we got the return of Billie and Detective Jody Mills, saw a different side of Jody, and Billie isn't giving up the fight for souls.  If you want to watch us LIVE check out our Aftershow on Thursdays at 11 pm on YouTube by searching Afterbuzz TV and upcoming LIVE streams.  Feel free to join in on the chat as well and let us know what you think!  You can catch all of our past Aftershows on YouTube, iTunes or Soundcloud!

Magic: The Gathering on YouTube

Thanks to our Director, Shaun, our 'Magic: The Story' Podcast got posted on YouTube under one of his friend's channels, and he added images so that it's relevant to the format.  It definitely draws you in!

 Watch it here!

Halana is in other stories so I'm hoping my character will be brought back into the Podcast and I can do some more Voiceover work.  It was such a blast working with everyone, especially for this strong and independent character!
Enjoy :)

Lisa Berry at Afterbuzz TV (plus Nina Lopez-Corrado)

Lisa is such a huge 'Supernatural' fan so we're always so excited to have her in the studio with us to discuss everything about the show during our Aftershow at Afterbuzz TV.  She came to the studio at the end of March with Nina Lopez-Corrado whom had directed the episode we were discussing that day and then Lisa joined me again at the beginning of May for another exciting episode!

We've never had a director of 'Supernatural' join us on the panel so it was really great to get that perspective on the show.  We got so many questions answered and I think we all hope that Nina comes back to direct more episodes since it brought such a range of emotions out of all the actors that week.  It was definitely one of the most heart-wrenching episodes to watch.  And Lisa gets as excited as all of us do when talking about the show.  When we talked in May we could have had another couple hours of our Aftershow since there was so much to talk about and God had finally been revealed.  As some of the fans on Twitter posted, it was a #gamechanger.
Katie & I with Lisa Berry & Nina Lopez-Corrado when we discussed  'Supernatural' episode "Red Meat."
With Season 11 coming to a close on Wednesday, I can't imagine how wild the episode is going to get!  We've got Lucifer and Castiel as one and we're not sure if anyone died or was expelled last episode, Rowena is back, Crowley has joined Sam & Dean to go up against The Darkness and God has been injured and we're not sure what his plans are for Amara.  These were part of Lisa and I's predictions for the season finale when we talked earlier this month so we'll have to see if they come to fruition or not!  Lisa is always the epitome of light and energy, she's a joy to chat with, especially about 'Supernatural.'  She's real and honest and we get the insider when we talk about the show.
Lisa and I after our 'Supernatural' Aftershow at Afterbuzz TV
Katie and I will be joining Lisa and Alaina on Wednesday night to Live Tweet about the episode and I know we're both really looking forward to it!  Then we'll have both of these lovely ladies join us at Afterbuzz TV on Thursday to discuss the finale and what's to come for Season 12 which will premiere in the Fall.  You can always join us in the Live Chat at 12:30 pm on YouTube by searching Afterbuzz TV (upcoming shows) and you may even get a shout-out!  And all of our Aftershows are up on YouTube through Afterbuzz TV as well (Supernatural on Afterbuzz TV Playlist).  Thanks to our loyal 'Supernatural' fans and I hope we get some answers on Wednesday night :)

'Real Housewives of New York' Special Guests at Afterbuzz TV! Part 1.

We're six episodes into our 'Real Housewives of New York' Aftershow for Afterbuzz TV and have had a guest in our studio for nearly every episode!  It's always nice to have a guest, whether they are a Housewife from the show (always the best because they can offer the most insight into what it's like being on the show) or a Housewife or celebrity from another show because we can all have our own various opinions and they can be unbiased because they aren't on the show.  Or in our most recent episode, we were lucky to have Dr. Fran Walfish, a Psychotherapist based out of Beverly Hills, California, in studio with us.
Ashley, Dr. Fran, Fern, Megan, and I at Afterbuzz TV for our 'Real Housewives of New York' Aftershow
Dr. Fran has been on our show three times now and always offers up advice and insight on what's going on behind closed doors.  She's able to dig deeper into what these women are really thinking and why they're doing the things they're doing.  We can all assume what's going on in their heads but having the background to understand their personalities is why it's so great to have Dr. Fran on our show.  We actually talked a lot about addiction in yesterday's show because Sonja (one of the NY Housewives) was very intoxicated at a party and clearly going through something more than just a drinking issue.  As Dr. Fran was talking, I actually got a little choked up because it's hard to see how someone that seems so wonderful might actually have a problem, and that they're usually in denial about getting help.  It hit a little close to home, and it's a horrible feeling to feel helpless in a situation where someone needs genuine help.
Here's our re-cap from Tuesday May 12th at Afterbuzz TV!

As with any Housewives show there's always some sort of drama going on, and seeing these women arguing about things that really don't matter can literally make watching the show uncomfortable or hard to watch.  Sometimes you feel sympathetic for what the women are going through, and other times, it's embarrassment that they're going to see this side of them forever because it'll always be out there for anyone to go and re-watch.  Of course, they're silly and fun, and that's the side of them I always enjoy seeing, unfortunately, the network and Andy Cohen want drama, and that's how the show keeps viewers, so that's the way it has to be.

It was my first time meeting Dr. Fran and she was such a joy to talk to and so incredibly sweet.  It's amazing how comfortable and open you can be with someone you've just met.  I look forward to having her on our panel again soon!

Afterbuzz TV Guests!

Since our Afterbuzz TV Hosts attended Supernatural Con in Burbank we've been getting more guests to come in and chat on our Aftershow at the Afterbuzz TV Studios.  It's always great to get their insight of working on the set with the cast and crew, how they get into character, and other insider information.

It was really fun talking to Ruth Connell & Travis Aaron Wade because they became friends on the set of 'Supernatural' since they appeared in an episode together, even though they were in different scenes.  Ruth is playing Rowena, Crowley's Mother, and Crowley is the King of Hell, so you can imagine how excited we were at the end of the episode to get any scoop we could on what's happening this season.  We've loved Travis' character, Cole, because he's been frustrated and troubled throughout this season in his search to avenge his father's death, and his most recent episode showed a softer side as well, including a terrific acting performance!
Tom, Katie, Ruth, Travis, Mikaela and I after Hosting for Episode 7 of 'Supernatural'
When we had Brit Sheridan in the studio, it ended up being a mini Slumber Party since it was an all girls show (Tom was out sick that night).  She filled us in on some pranks on-set and also talked about her singing career; she's got an Album & DVD coming out in January.  Try as we might, we couldn't get her to spill any details on the return of her character, Kate.  We're looking forward to Werewolf Pups and hopefully soon!
Katie, Brit, Mikaela, and I after Hosting our Slumber Party Episode 8 of 'Supernatural'
We've got some more guests coming in after the New Year once the season starts up again on January 20th.  And hopefully we'll get some major cast mates!  Until then, Happy Holidays 'Supernatural' Fans!

Supernatural Convention!

Last weekend my Co-Hosts for our 'Supernatural' Aftershow at Afterbuzz TV and I attended the Supernatural Convention in Burbank.  On top of getting to interview some of the actors from the show, we also got to talk to the fans, took a ride in a replica of the '67 Impala Sam & Dean drive around in, and checked out a bunch of exhibits and memorabilia.
Mikaela, myself, Tom, and Katie representing Afterbuzz TV at Supernatural Con!
Our first order of business was to walk around the Convention and check everything out.  Before we did our celebrity interviews, some of us interviewed the fans and asked them about their experience at the convention and what some of the hi-lights on 'Supernatural' have been for them.  Tom interviewed Timothy Omundson, Mikaela interviewed Matt Cohen, Katie interviewed Tahmoh Penikett, they both interviewed Mark Shepherd and I interviewed Misha Collins.  Timothy had such a wonderful positive energy about him, I can see why he's such a successful actor.  Tahmoh was so friendly and Matt told us an awesome supernatural story, both of them giving great interviews and insight on the show.  Mark had walked into the room during Matt's interview and stood behind Tom as he was filming, and it was hilarious to see the famous Crowley, sneaking up on him.  I tried to joke with him about it later but he was stone-faced and scared the crap out of me.  Lucky for us, he was just playing and he opened up so much during his interview; he was really interesting to listen to and stayed after the interview just to chat.  Misha was hilarious and endearing, talking about singing to his kids, and said one of his favorite episodes was "Fan Fiction" even though he wasn't in it.  To top it all off, he was so complimentary about my preparing and doing homework for the interview which I greatly appreciated.
With the '67 Impala
We interviewed a few more fans, each of us getting a chance to be on camera and film as well.  When we went out to look at the Impala, the owner was actually there and offered to take us on a ride around Burbank in it.  We were all so excited and it was literally one of my Top LA Moments.  To make it even more amazing, he blasted 'Carry On My Wayward Son' which Sam & Dean play when driving around in it as well.  It was really cool because he also had most of the actors from the show sign his dashboard.  I was able to interview him too!  We're really hoping that we can get some of the actors on our Aftershow because everything went so smoothly.

All of our cast interviews are up on YouTube which you can find by searching Afterbuzz TV 'Supernatural.'  Or you can check out our Aftershows which air LIVE at 11 pm on Tuesday nights and can be found on YouTube the following day or on iTunes as well.  A special thanks to Afterbuzz and Creation Entertainment for us to be able to attend Supernatural Con and meet some fantastic people...it was an absolute blast!

'Skipping Ahead' is Now On-Line!

We filmed our Short Film 'Skipping Ahead' at the end of July before McCracken had moved back to North Carolina.  Neil put together an edit within a week (because he's awesome) and after a few tweaks (and moments of my perfectionism, who says you can't look at 20 different fonts and not like any of them...oops, that's me) we got to the final video!
There's even a little out-take at the end of the video!

I love that I got to play so many different characters throughout filming.  I had so many emotions and the script really gave me a chance to play all these levels and show some range.  I really loved the finished product and hopefully you enjoyed the short film that we all worked so hard on :)

'Stealing A Man's Grill' Video Debut!

I'm excited to announce that 'Stealing A Man's Grill' music video has made it's debut!  Brad Coder, the artist, also wrote and directed the music video.  You might recognize him from his shark video that was rated the #2 video on MSN.com last year and has over 2 million views on YouTube.  You need to check it out!

We filmed the final scenes at the beginning of this month and after editing everything together, the video was released yesterday!  Lucky for me, I got to play two different roles in this video; I get to seal the grill and later I get to return it.  I'm playing good and evil, the best of both worlds because I'm definitely the type of girl you'd expect to steal a grill!
Our final days of filming were a lot of fun, as we got to enjoy the sun in Playa Del Rey and see Brad cry over his beloved grill's return.  We got in a nice little work-out running along the beach and got our groove on for the ending party scene.  Although, Brad was more excited about his grill than his bikini-clad heroines.
It was a blast to shoot this video and the song is super catchy...I think you'll enjoy it :)

Here's my original post for our first shoot of 'Stealing A Man's Grill': http://lyndseywegner.blogspot.com/2013/09/stealing-mans-grill.html

'Plaid Flannel' Music Video

Neil's Dad turned 60 this past week and in honor of this very special Birthday he put together a music video that was dedicated to his Dad's love for plaid flannel.  He got friends and family of his Dad to send in 'video selfies' of themselves dancing and singing to add to the personalization of the video and this is the final product!
Not only did Neil rap and sing in this video but he was the creative mind behind the lyrics, scenes, and editing!  I had a fun little cameo as well, so if you want to see my old-school dance moves make sure you check it out :)

'Jules & Jess' Web Series

It's been nearly two years since I filmed an episode of this wonderful little web series called 'Jules & Jess.'  I started out helping with make-up and anything else they needed, and then I auditioned for a role, but unfortunately didn't get cast.  I got called a couple days later to be an extra which I gladly accepted and looked forward to my day on set.  Lucky for me, one of the actresses didn't confirm for the shoot the following day and I ended up getting her role and being Taft Hartley'd into the Union.  Patience and persistence pays off!  No role is to small to go in and do something you love, and JJ gave me an opportunity to be a part of her web series and I got my SAG card in addition to a super fun experience!  I couldn't be more appreciative and thankful :)

You can see my Episode, which is Episode 6 "Jobless" Part 2 here:

The web series has been airing on their Wagglebutt Production Website in addition to YouTube and they also post updates, episodes, and other info on their Facebook page which you can find here: Jules & Jess on Facebook

Hope you enjoy!!
